Property in Makrigialos, Eastern Crete
Crete is the largest island of Greece. It consists of several
villages and towns and Makrigialos is a town in the south of Crete,
between Ierapetra and Sitia.
Near Makrigialos there are many villages, be it near or further away
from the sea. Some of these villages are: Koutsouras, Agios Stefanos,
Pefki Schinokapsala, Achlia, Stavrohori, Pervolakia, Chrysopigi and
Pilalimata.

tasting, Halloween, carnival, sporting events and many other
festivities.
The two cities between which Makrigialos lies are Ierapetra and
Sitia. Both are just 30 minutes or 40 minutes away. In Sitia there
will soon be an international airport. In Makrigialos there is a
local doctor's office for emergencies, many shops, supermarkets,
restaurants and cafes. It is a fishing village with a beautiful,
picturesque harbour, which is also open as a place for investment
and for the real estate market. Generally, the region has one of the
fastest growth rates in Greece and the real estate market offers
many opportunities for potential buyers.
